Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. (Montclair, January 20, 1930) is an American astronaut and the second man to put down the foot on the moon in the Apollo 11 mission. Educated at the military academy, Aldrin took part in 66 combat missions in the Korean War, before entering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a doctorate in astronautics. He was selected as an astronaut in 1963 in the third group of astronauts selected by U.S. space. His old nickname, Buzz, has since been legalized in 1988 as his first name. In 1963 he was selected by NASA in a shortlist of potential astronauts for the Gemini 9 mission. After the death of the crew of the mission for which Aldrin had been discarded, is selected as part of the next mission (Gemini 9A). After his excellent work on board the pilot was re-9A Aldrin for the last part of the Project Gemini mission, Gemini 12. Aldrin on LunaProprio during the mission orbital Gemini 12 in 1966, made also an EVA (activities outside the spacecraft). Is then selected with Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins to be part of the historic Apollo 11 mission (July 1969), which provided the first lunar landing by humans on board. Although the first human to set foot on the moon was Armstrong, Aldrin became similarly famous for his moonlight walks with his companion landed just moments before. After the Apollo 11 mission, Aldrin wait three years before taking leave and returning to a difficult life in the Air Force. In his autobiography, Return to Earth tells of the fight against depression and addressed against alcoholism in the years that followed his career at NASA.

The Moon is a pristine place? Not only

Bisogna ricordare che non tutte le missioni furoso coronate da successo, in quanto Apollo XIII mission was aborted due to the explosion of oxygen tank command module, is going to lose the ability to maneuver the main stocks of energy in the form. Because of this, we created a very high risk situation, which was happily resolved only by great ingenuity (aimed at solving problems) by the astronauts, engineers and ground crew involved in numerous rescue. - Amateur Astronomers Talmassons

Apollo 11 Armstrong and Aldrin were scouts

It should be noted that Neil Armstrong was a Scout and together with Edwin Aldrin, also Scouts, also greeted the Scouts and in the same period were making the Jamboree saying (8:15 pm July 18, 1969) Neil: "I would like to greet all the scouts and leaders who are on the National Jamboree is being held this week. Apollo 11 sends them his best Greetings "Houston:" Thank you, Apollo 11. We are confident that if the scouts could not hear you, but learn from your message communicated. We appreciate your gesture. " The head office of the Astronaut Office Space Center in Houston announced that the World Scout Bureau Neil Armstrong on Apollo 11 brought the world scout badge. - Wikipedia

Neil Alden Armstrong (Wapakoneta, August 5, 1930) is a U.S. Air Force pilot and astronaut, first man to lay down on the moon. Armstrong was born in Ohio and fought as a jet pilot for the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He attended Purdue University where he majored in aeronautical engineering in 1955. He became a civilian pilot and NASA tested the X-15, which can reach 6,400 km / h. He was selected as an astronaut, also from NASA in 1962. For the Gemini Program commanded the Gemini 8 mission, which was the first who saw the hanging of two objects orbiting in 1966, but soon after the engagement was abandoned due to a malfunction of thrusters to maneuver. In 1968 he was commander of the backup crew nella missione Apollo 8, che prevedeva anche orbite lunari.
- Wikipedia

Lo sbarco sulla Luna una bufala?

In periodo di guerra fredda, la sfida con La Russia era sempre più calda, oltre al profilo militare anche sotto il punto di vista tecnologico, e della corsa allo spazio, la quale i russi vinsero ampiamente, furono i primi a mandare un uomo nello space and the first to launch an artificial satellite into orbit, and probably would also be the first to arrive on the moon, if the conspiracy theory was confirmed. In fact the real landing would take place in February 1971 to 2 years later. For posterity, the sentence may have been rigged in my opinion solely for your scenic photos and nothing more, and about the Cold War space you want to refer to an article on the brothers and a few movies here Cordiglia
